When I first heard people talking about this article title, I have to admit it had me riled. Though I am of mixed heritage, I consider myself through and through Canadian and am proud that it started as an Aboriginal, British and French country.
After reading what the article is about and more about the recognition of new ethnicities mixing and the fact that immigrants are becoming more involved with each other’s communities, I really grew attached to the article.
Also, I am exactly the same way when people ask me (usually within the first 5minutes) “where I’m from?”-I stare at them blandly before always answering Canadian or from Canada.
